Prathap Rayalacheruvu

Hello, I'm Prathap Rayalacheruvu

I'm a researcher in astrophysics, studying the fascinating process of star and planet formation. My work consists of observational data analysis, computational astrochemical modeling, and spectroscopic analysis.

But my interests don't stop at the edge of the cosmos. I'm equally passionate about software development — building tools that make complex scientific concepts accessible and interactive. Whether it's a Python pipeline for analyzing spectral data or a web application for exploring musical scales, I believe code can bring ideas and experiences to life.

Teaching has always been a core part of who I am. There's something magical about explaining concepts, ideas, and experiences and watching them take shape in someone else’s mind.

When I'm not immersed in research or code, you'll find me with a guitar in hand, exploring the intricate world of Indian classical music, or on the badminton court, chasing that shuttlecock.

Currently, I'm exploring opportunities to transition into the software industry while maintaining my connection to scientific research and education. I believe the analytical thinking and problem-solving skills from my research translate beautifully to building great software.
